First Aid Book for Pets CCHS is now making available, a very special book, "Pet First Aid". Put out by The American Red Cross and The Humane Society of The United States, this book covers emergency first aid for pet illness and injury. THIS BOOK IS NOT MEANT TO REPLACE PROFESSIONAL VETERINARY CARE, ONLY TO ASSIST PET OWNERS UNTIL PROFESSIONAL HELP IS AVAILABLE. We feel this book is a "must" for all pet owners! The purchase price is $15 (this includes mailing costs). A small portion of the purchase price goes to CCHS to help raise funds to enable us to continue our work at the shelter.
